Now, If I Can Be Serious For A Moment …

Okay … Now, let’s have a bit of a recap of the last week or so …

I’ve been pretty damn busy since I got back here. First and foremost, I’ve been busy looking for a job. I’ve emailed out a lot of resumes, but hadn’t had much luck in getting to places to drop any as Phoebe died on me. Although, I’m happy to report that my “Beast”, as Pac-Man likes to call her, has been successfully resurrected!

Phoebus has already been, and will undoubtedly remain, a huge help in my quest for employment. I’ve already made it to several interviews that I would have not be able to without her help.

She’s been running very and feeling extremely peppy. It’s taken a little getting used to handling the throttle and extra power. Of course, I’m not complaining, by any stretch of the imagination. Of course, I’ll have to go easy on her to break her in.

Otherwise, in my down time, I try to relax some by catching a flick with friend. My latest movie buddies have been Cutie and Pac-Man. First movie to speak of, we watched with Baby-J and Jack-E for Cutie‘s birthday.

Team America: World Police” is fucking hilarious! Of course, with the creators being Trey Parker and Matt Stone of “South Park” fame, if you’re not expecting off-the-wall, over-the-top, lewd and crude humour .. you have to be nucking futs.

I’d have to say that this duo hasn’t lost their touch for using their less-than-conventional brand of humour to make everyone laugh. Quite literally, the entire audience was in stitches for most of the movie. Yup … even during the sex scene!

… Imagine if you dare, the marionettes of “Thunderbirds” meets the Kama Sutra … with the beat of some good old porn music!

We also caught Julianne Moore in “The Forgotten“. First off … *oi*, what a yummy mummy!?

And secondly, this was a fun movie to watch. I suppose I cannot talk too much about it without giving too much away, so I won’t. What I will say is that with the likes of “Baseball is great. It’s the only sport in the world that you can play while taking a nap.”, Dominic West had some of the better one-liners I’ve seen on the big screen since … since … heck, maybe since Bruce Campbell in “Army Of Darkness“.

For the record, the movie isn’t anywhere near as scary as the trailer makes it out to be.

Just tonight, we caught the collaborative effort of Disney and Pixar. I’ve always loved a good animated movie. This motion picture did not disappoint. I have to recommend “The Incredibles” to *everyone* … and their dog! We found this movie had us laughing like we were kids again!

Every Pixar movie tries to tackle a new challenge. As Pac-Man noted, in “Monster’s Inc.” it was the hair. In “Finding Nemo“, it was the water effect. In this one, it was the lighting effects.

I’d love to see a sequel to this one – especially one where we see baby Jack-Jack all grown up!

Another animated movie to note is DreamWorks Animation SKG‘s “Shark Tale“. I had the pleasure of Dimples‘ and Sassy Hermit‘s company when I caught this one when I was back home.

Boasting a cast with the likes of Will Smith, Robert De Niro, Renee Zellweger, Angelina Jolie and Jack Black, the movie was filled with laughs.

However, I must point out that DreamWorks’ films have an undoubted pop-culture feel to them. In “Shrek 2“, society, as a whole, was mocked. In this case, flashes of Fresh Prince and Ali were present.

Well, it’s never been much of a secret that I’m a bit of and insomniac. But lately, I’ve been one involuntarily. I suppose I do have a lot on my mind. Those that know, know. Those that don’t, please don’t ask. I’ve got so much to think about as it is, I’d really rather not have to explain myself over and over again.

For the most part, I’m somewhat open about my troubles. However, and no offence to anyone out there, I’ve only brought it up in depth with certain people I trust a great deal, and have no problems talking to. Of course, I trust that those in the know will respect that and speak no further on the issue with others.

In any case, I’ve been finding myself practically collapsing at all hours. And when I do get to sleep, it’s usually only for a couple of hours. I’ve always operated on a 16-20 hour day as opposed to most others’ 12-14 hours, but this is killing me.

‘Easing’ the pain, shall we say, have been a few slightly nocturnal people out there. Sometimes my insomniac brother, Wingman. Others, it has been some acquaintances from overseas.

Sassy Hermit, is one I must single out, as she’s been a great conversationalist. Not often do I find someone I can sit and chat with for hours on end. You must give me reason to rename you on my blog!

… & write back @ ya’!

Ah-Mun :“biter”?

Ghis : Hey, you’re talking to a guy that openly admits he likes chick flicks! Yeah, I like some of the old stuff too. Speaking of the guitar, what other artists are you into? Are you a fan of like … Santana or The Shadows? Over the years, I’ve been meaning to take up the guitar again. It’s been … *oi* … a dozen years …

Jovo : I’ve already got The Bad Touch by The Bloodhound Gang up and running already, but I should look for those other two. I just need more webspace. Maybe it’s time to start my own server … hmmm
